Open Studio Time

​

CERAMIC STUDIO TIME: Ceramic studio time is available as a supplement to adult students currently enrolled in ceramic classes. Dates and times are subject to change based on semester. 

 

In an effort to manage the number of students in the ceramic studio, we are asking you to pre-register for Studio Time spots via the links below in the Release Date/Time table for the semester. Studio Times will be released two (2) weeks at a time. Students are limited to pre-registering for two (2) studio time per session release. Please register with your name and contact information.

Cost and fees: Ceramic studio time is $15 per session, payable at the front desk. A $90 studio time discount card (6 sessions for the price of 6 sessions) can also be purchased at the front desk. Late cancelations (24 HRS or less) and no-shows will be charged the $15 fee.

Clay and Firing Fee info (for ceramics & sculpture classes):

  • Clay and clay tools are available for purchase at the front desk.​

  • Clay prices: 

    • ​Brown stoneware: $18/bag (25 lbs)

    • White stoneware: $18/bag (25 lbs)

    • Porcelain clay: $35/bag (25 lbs)

    • Brown sculpture clay: $18/bag (25 lbs)

    • Cone 10 Slip (porcelain): $20/gallon

  • Ceramic firing fees:​​

    • Firing = $4.50/lb for Art School clay (please note: no other clay will be fired). This price covers both a bisque and glaze firing.

    • Discounted bulk firing cards - the easiest and fastest way to pay for firing - are available for purchase at the front desk ($100/25 lbs = a savings of 50 cents per lb). Firing cards do not expire and can be transferred to other students.

  • Sculpture firing fees:

    • Bisque firing = $2.25/lb​ for Art School clay (please note: no other clay will be fired).
