Dear Friends of The Art School at Old Church:

In 1974, Mikhail Zakin and  a small group of likeminded artists saw promise in a neglected 19th Century church building. With help from local artisans, they set out to create an environment that would foster creativity, dialogue, and an enduring sense of community.

 

Five decades later, our staff, faculty, and volunteers work day and night to ensure that individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities have equitable access to extraordinary experiences of art and culture.
